Our grandparents, Irvin and Ada Reese, are buried in the cemetery at St. John’s Evangelical Congregational Church, formerly the United Evangelical Church, in the village of Steelstown, North Annville Twp, Lebanon County, PA. All four of their parents and all eight of their grandparents are also buried there, as well as many of the others included in the
North Annville genealogy database.
This original sepia print, in the possession of Joan Beckey Wells, is believed to be dated around the turn of the 20th Century. The frame church building was replaced by a brick structure in 1958, with the back of the church now facing the cemetery. Subsequent additions to the church were completed in 1983 and 1991. The photo below was taken a hundred years later from the same perspective.
